OWEN @ TWO MONTHS

I can't even begin to describe how much we have loved having this little guy in our home!!!
Two months have flown bye.
WEIGHT: 11# 9oz 35%
HEIGHT:23" 41%
HEAD:15 1/2  26%

@2 months Owen....

.Is such a smiley baby and is cooing and trying to talk to us!
.Never ever ever cries. On the rare occasion he does, its quite pathetic!
.In exchange for crying he grunts and gets mad sometimes
.Sleeps about 5-6 hours then off and on until 5 until he won't sleep unless I hold him. ( gahhh i know...)
.Found his thumb and loves to put it in his mouth
.Also scratches his nose up pretty bad trying to get his thumb.
.Definitely a mammas boy!!!!!
.He is starting to look just like olivia did at this age to me:)
.Loves to lay on his back and kick and squirm to his hearts content.
.He is getting better at nursing. Still will only nurse 4-5 min on each side(very often falls asleep before the 2nd) every 3 hrs.
.He is starting to love to look at bright things or objects around him. Just like livi, he loves the fan!

I took him to his 2 month appointment and got his first set of shots :( he cried and cried for at least 10 min. it broke my heart. I have never heard him cry that long or so hard. I laid him on the table for the Dr. to look at him and he asked me about tummy time and what he was learning. I confessed that I hold him all day and hardly ever put him down :D So the Dr. put him on his tummy and he did his first mini push up! He started squirming and  he laughed and said it looks like he is trying to roll over and that he would at about 4 months. I told him how Olivia did her first push up and rolled over for the first time right there on his table and how funny it would be if Owen did both there too.
Bam! Owen rolls over! I just started laughing because I couldn't believe that just happened. Lol Owen scared himself by rolling over and got a little upset:)
My children must really like to impress the Dr. :D
He did the push up again at home, so I might have to let him lay down and have tummy time :( I'm just enjoying holding him too much though.

Owen tried the bumbo for the first time and did awesome!

I'm doing great postpartum.
I was back to my pre baby weight 8 days after he was born :)
I got the baby blues, but not near as bad as I did with Olivia.
I was over it all by 3 weeks and only had a few days of tears compared to 2 weeks last time.
Nursing was harder this time around and I seriously considered just giving him formula. Not his fault though, I just had issue after issue until about 7 weeks.

Olivia is still loving on him!
Although sometimes she asks me to go put Owen down and just come play with her or cuddle her.

I can't even remember what it was like to not have him in our family. He is the sweetest baby ever and I am absolutely in love with him!

A NAME AND A BLESSING

On January 4 we blessed Owen in Church.
Josh blessed him along with family and it was beautiful.
He looked so cute in his little Knit blessing outfit!
After the blessing, all our family came to our house and we had a big and YUMMY breakfast!
I wish we could have gotten a picture of everyone, or I would have thought to take more pictures, but we had so much family there to support us. It made us feel so loved that everyone would drive all the way and be there by 9AM!

4 Generations!

Thanks to everyone who could make it! We missed those who couldn't!

OWEN @ ONE WEEK

I can't believe its been a week already!

Owen has been the sweetest little boy ever. He slept good at night...until last night :( and hardly ever cries.

He will just lay there in your arms wide awake and just stare at you or around the room without making a peep.

Olivia LOVES LOVES LOVES him! She loves doing big sister things for him. Finding things and "watching him" while I go to the bathroom or do something else.

His nursing is okay.... I have to remind myself its just the first weeks that are hard. If I can make it to 6 weeks its smooth sailing from there on out. But the bottle sound soooooo easy and good right now!

He looks just like Josh to me. Everyone has their different opinion just like they did with olivia. So i guess we just make a good enough mix it's hard to tell!

The only really hard part of having a baby is having Josh be in the middle of his last 3 weeks of school. Which means he gets to see us for about 15-20 min a day. And with my first week or so baby blues, has made for some very fun days without him.

We just are in love with Owen. He is the cutest sweetest thing in the whole wide world, and it's been one of the best weeks ever!

19" long

I have a new love for the 14th of November, My first love was started by being sealed to the love of my life 5 years ago! The second was welcoming our beautiful baby Owen to our family!

His birth was a little more thought out and planned than Olivia's.
Dr Heath check me at 35 weeks and I was dilated to a 3. I told him how we were a little worried about having a spontanious labor, since we have Olivia to think about this time and we didn't have anyone to take her if I went in the middle of the night like I did last time. He told me if we didn't have the baby before then, he would gladly induce me at 39 weeks.

I made it to 36 weeks, and 37 weeks, and 38 weeks (which he told me he wouldn't be surprised to see me that weekend having the baby), then at my 39 week appointment on WED he said I was still the same as i had been for a month :( We kindly reminded him that he told us he would take the baby early if I made it this long. He left the room while I got dressed and then came back in and told us I was scheduled for friday morning at 2 A.M.!!!! That was less than a day away!!!

We left with HUGE smiles on our faces and went and made plans for Olivia to go sleep over and Tyson and Lori's house while we had our baby!!!!

We decided to get some sleep before going in and headed to bed around 9 that night. Who was I kidding! There was no way I could sleep knowing what was coming. So, with no sleep, Josh and I drove into Cedar and checked in at the hospital.

Once I was all setteled in, they came and gave me my IV and set me up on pit. By 5 am I was ready for my epidural. It worked perfectly. I got SUPER sick the whole time I was in labor and dizzy :( It was no fun at all. I think that might have been the worst part of having the baby...... or the IV..... um I guess getting the epidural was right up there with the other two :)

7:30 rolled around and our Dr came in to break my water, I still hadn't changed even with all the pit they were pumping into me. I was at a 4+ and stayed that way for the next hour.

My Mom, Dad, and Jessica all came up to help welcome our little guy. Jess was super good at getting the Nurse to turn up the pit and getting her to check me more often! The last time she asked her to check me I think the nurse had had enough and told us she would come back in an hour and check me :(

About 45 min later, even though I was super numb from the epidural and hadn't felt one contraction, I about doubled over in pain from feeling a contraction. Evidently my mom can make sense of those little contraction lines and told me the baby's head was coming down.... after two more horrible contractions I started to shake like crazy. My Mom got a huge smile on her face and told me I was transitioning and she was going to find a nurse. I could kinda tell the nurse was sick of us finding her and told my mom she said she would come back in 15 min and I was sure she was going to tell me I was just a 5+! Mom heard nothing I said and ran out to find her. While our nurse was nowhere to be seen she did find this awesome nurse who came in. She checked me and said..... "yep! 5+!" I was sooo dissapointed. Then announced "just kidding your complete!"

Our nurse finally came in and had me try pushing to see how close the baby was. After one push she told me to Stop and ran and called our dr.

His office is right across the street so he was only a few min.
I loved the hype of them getting everything ready in a hurry. He came in and suited up and had me push. I was soooo tired from no sleep, the epidural, and being sick that I could only hold a push for 5 or 6 sec before I gave out. So I was very suprised that after the second push everyone announced there was his head.
I asked if they could just see the top and Josh looked and me with a huge smile and told me that his head was out!!
Two more small pushes and they laid him on my tummy and let Josh cut the cord.

I loved that they never took him from me. They saved all the weighing and shots and stuff for after i fed him.
I was heaven just holding my baby skin to skin and not having somebody take him from me.

He stole my heart from the
moment I met him!

P.s. Sorry if the pictures are too much for some..... but I love all of them:)

I was having a really hard time with the Epidural. Josh was so good to me.

And again! He sat there and played with my hair to help my nausea

His Nose and lips were really bruised when he came out :(

Owen just stared at me after I got him. It was pretty special!

Jess got my nails all done so they would look cute that day :) sisters are great!

I LOVED having them here with us! It was a pretty special day.

35 1/2 weeks.

Getting closer! And man did the heartburn and nausea come back with a vengeance. It feels like the first trimester all over again. Being tired all day is so exhausting ;)
We had a Drs appointment yesterday and he decided to check me just for fun. Normally they don't start checking until 36 or 37 weeks. I was super surprised when he told me I was dialated to a 3. I asked him about maybe being induced a week early to help plan a little better to have someone watch Olivia since we live a little further away from family. He said if I even make it to 39 weeks he'll induce me for sure :) that means if I make it to 39 weeks we only have 3 1/2 weeks until we are holding and loving on our little boy!!!! I can't even say how excited I am to see him!!! We are so close and the wait is killing me. Luckily olivia and I will be babysitting my sisters 6 kids for a week and that will help us get our mind off of the time:) In the meantime I'll enjoy every minute of the last of the one on one time I get with livi. Her cuddles are the best. I really hope she doesn't feel to put out of place when her brother gets here:(

:::OLIVIA AT 3 YEARS OLD:::

I cannot believe that this little girl is the same girl I brought home from the hospital what seems like yesterday.
She is the funniest sweetest little girl in the whole wide world!

@3 Olivia

Weight: 29lbs 9oz 42%
Height: 38 1/4" 80%
*Loves animals! Her favorite right now is puppies.
*Loves "Brown" soda. She definitely gets this one from Dad. I cringe every time she says it.
* Loves to count and tell you the colors of things.
*Repunzel and Frozen are her favorite characters right now.
*LOVES to dress up.
*She could live on chocolate milk and fruit snacks if someone would let her.
* Loves her veggies. If green beans are on her plate she'll eat them all and ask for more before touching her other food. She also loves to eat all other veggies. She tells her Dad he need to eat his too :)
*She is THE most cuddley girl EVER. She will frequently come to me and say "come tuddle me mom" (at least 3x's a day). I get more kisses and hugs than should be fair for a mom!
* She loves to have "sleepovers" with Mom. When we go to Grandmas to sleep or almost everymorning after Dad leaves for work at 4am Livi will ask me for a sleepover. She then will play with my hair in her sleep and it's heavenly!
*She is potty trained. Still wears pull ups at night, but does great during the day.
*She has to sleep with a toy.... some nights i'll come check on her and she'll have a full bed of toys around her.... *sigh* she melts my heart sometimes.
*Loves Puzzels and building castles
* Says "does that sound like a dood idea, mom" or "would that be fun" after almost everything she says :)
*Dad taught her how to make paper books and we go through reams of paper now!
*One of her favorite places to be is the library picking new books to bring home. We will read there forever then pick her favorites to bring home.
*She is so good natured. She very rarely throws tantrums or gets mad. She is good at telling us what makes her sad and then gets over it:) lol i'm super lucky!
*When she plays with her toys her voice gets sooo high you can hardly understand whats shes saying.
*Is so excited for her brother and tells me often how good of a big sister she is going to be~

Olivia has this obsession with classifying things that Josh and I love. For example:
"Mom loves teetee" (pee pee) and "Dad loves poopoo" We never tell her the things we love. She decides and then reminds us every time she has to go to the bathroom. haha poor Josh always gets to deal with the poopoo because he loves it:)
One of my absolute favorites goes a little something like this.....

"Mom, you wass(love) puppies and Dad wass tiddys(kitties, but it sounds much worse when she tells everyone dad loves tiddys !!!)

Baby girl..... Mom and Dad love you so much! I can't imagine a better 3 years than the past 3. You are funny, kind, sweet, very imaginative, and loving. You remind me daily how we are best friends and I love it.
